Tales from Iranus: Dreamwalker

A Shared Story:

Dreamwalker is the first entry in a world building and cooperative writing exercise designed to enrich the homebrew world of Iranus with the characters that live in it and their stories, big and small. The shared novel was written by myself and Caroline Gonzales, who also the talented artist responsible for the cover, and begins the adventure for her character Maris. This particular story uses the 5e ruleset and SRD along with homebrew materials, though the stories told in Tales from Iranus are not 5e specific and will follow a number of rulesets. Footnotes are included as rolls and actions dictate the story.

Plot:

Maris had enjoyed her small town life in the city of Hewe, often finding herself guided by her charmingly mischevous  nature into a socially acceptable amount of trouble, but always wanted more. Through a series of opportunity and circumstance she finds that the adventure she has always desired is right around the corner, although things are not always as they seem. Through a story of self exploration and realization, Maris must overcome adversity and decide if she wants a fate written in the stars, or a simpler life she once thought of leaving behind.
